Terms & Conditions
These terms describe the general working relationship for Simcoe Sitecraft website projects. A project-specific written agreement or quote takes priority where it differs from these general terms.
Scope and approvals
Each project begins with an agreed scope, timeline, and price. Requests outside that scope, including substantial page additions or new functionality, may require a separate quote and timeline.
Payments
Unless a written agreement says otherwise, 50% of the project fee is due before work begins and the remaining 50% is due before final launch or transfer. Domain, hosting, paid tools, stock assets, and third-party services are separate costs unless expressly included in writing.
Client content and responsibilities
Clients are responsible for supplying accurate business information, service details, permissions for supplied photos or logos, and timely feedback. Delays in content or approvals can move the launch date.
Ownership
Once all invoices are paid, the client owns their approved website content and project files. Third-party tools, fonts, stock assets, and platform terms may carry their own licences. Clients retain ownership of their domain and accounts.
Maintenance and third parties
Maintenance covers only the items described in the selected plan or written agreement. Simcoe Sitecraft cannot guarantee uninterrupted performance of third-party platforms, hosting providers, email services, search engines, or social networks.
